These Terms are a binding agreement between you and La Hacienda LLC ("FrameDrop", "we", "us"), a Massachusetts limited liability company. By using FrameDrop — the website at framedrop.video, the browser app, or the Mac app — you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use FrameDrop.
FrameDrop turns videos into contact sheets and related exports, running locally on your device. We offer (a) a free browser app and (b) a paid Mac app with added capabilities (large-file and ProRes/MOV handling, batch processing, and other Pro features). Features may change over time.
You retain all rights to the videos you process and everything FrameDrop produces from them. We do not receive, store, access, or claim any license to your content — processing happens on your device. You are solely responsible for the content you use FrameDrop on, and you represent that you have the rights to do so.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use FrameDrop — including for commercial work — for its intended purpose. You may not: (a) resell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the app or your license key; (b) reverse-engineer, decompile, or circumvent the app except to the extent the law expressly permits; (c) use FrameDrop to break the law or infringe others' rights; or (d) remove or alter our notices or branding in the software.
A paid purchase grants one license, which you may activate on up to 3 devices you own or control. License keys are personal to you — don't share or publish them. We may deactivate a key obtained fraudulently, charged back, or used in violation of these Terms. Keys are issued and verified through Gumroad.
The Mac app is sold as a one-time purchase through Gumroad, our merchant of record, who processes payment and handles tax. Prices are shown at checkout and may change for future purchases. We offer a 7-day, no-questions-asked refund from the date of purchase — request it by emailing gonz@lahacienda.media or through Gumroad, and the refund is processed via Gumroad. Free-beta versions distributed before any paid launch remain free for those who downloaded them.
FrameDrop is actively developed and parts of it may be labeled beta. Beta features are provided as-is and may change, break, or be removed. We may release updates and notify you of new versions, but we're not obligated to provide updates, support, or backward compatibility.
FrameDrop — its software, name, logo, design, and content (other than your content) — is owned by La Hacienda LLC and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a license to use the app, not any ownership of it.
FrameDrop relies on third parties (e.g. Gumroad for payments/licensing, and the providers listed in our Privacy Policy). Your use of those services is also governed by their terms, and we're not responsible for them.
FRAMEDROP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT FRAMEDROP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT IT WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS. YOU USE FRAMEDROP AT YOUR OWN RISK, AND ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR KEEPING BACKUPS OF YOUR OWN FILES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LA HACIENDA LLC AND ITS MEMBERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF FRAMEDROP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR FRAMEDROP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $50.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you; in that case our liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless La Hacienda LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of FrameDrop, your content, or your violation of these Terms or the law.
You may stop using FrameDrop at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access or license if you materially breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, governing law) will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that isn't resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts, and you consent to their jurisdiction. We'd much rather sort things out by email first — reach us at gonz@lahacienda.media.
We may update these Terms; we'll change the date above and, for material changes, note it on framedrop.video. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
